I love this book! For any Christian who questions what the Lord wants them to do or feelings of Not doing enough or being enough it will totally encourage you! My parents and inlaws were in Ministry and having them as a "measuring" stick at times, I thought for years I should be doing more, and what is God calling "ME" to do. This book is so affirming and separates His "truth" for each of us, from "fiction".Product details

I loved this book. It came at just the right time in my life of discouragment as to WHAT IS my calling? I am having my 13 yr old read it as well, as many people ask what she wants to do with her life as she grows up.
A read for ANY person, at ANY time in their life. Encouraging, and pointing us again to the TRUE compass of our lives.
I also read Teasi's other book, Big Bottom Blessing! Such a good author, I will read anything she prints- so easy to follow, and always applicable to what I am walking though daily!
I loved this book! Cultivating out purpose is not something that we do; it's something that we can rest in. I spent many years feeling as if being a mom and house wife wasn't big or grandiose enough. In this book, Teasi clearly defines our purpose through solid biblical evidence..and that it does differ from our vocation. The truth that she writes, with ease & beauty, unlocks & exposes the faulty thinking that we've adopted in this culture. Great resource for anyone! The sooner we can walk in this understanding, the better.
There are a handful of books I go back to every year. My heart needs their message. They help me to be the best me I can be. I've found a new book to read annually--and this is the one. As a Christian woman this is what matters most to my heart, that I live out every day to my full potential. So, things like "my calling" can quickly become tha idol in my life that keeps my focus on all those things He has put in my hands to care for. I don't want to neglect one single thing--or one single person. Author, Teasi Cannon, has blessed me in ways that are pretty big. Most of all...I am free from the burdens of "my calling" to live out each and every day the way God want me to, surrendered to Him.
I am a chronic over-thinker and have always had a tendency to make things more complicated than they need to be. When my friend gave me this book to read it could not have been better timing. I feel like Teasi was speaking directly to my heart, giving me the advice that I so needed to hear. Her writing is un-affected and easy to connect to, and I almost felt like I was listening to a trusted mentor. This book gave me some much needed clarity. As a college student about to graduate I have already begun to have that fear-tinged worry of "what am I going to do with my life" seep in. Teasi's book encouraged me to find confidence and security in where I am at while still looking forward at where I am going to be.
Also, another plus about this book is that it is not over-written or tediously long. As I mentioned, I am a college student and barely have time to get through my course-work while working two jobs. This book was like a healthy dose of vitamins (the gummy kind)--beneficial, tasty, and quick! I read it before I fell asleep at night and gained much encouragement from its pages. I could not recommend it more! (Honestly feel like this should be a required college textbook, because my only complaint is that I did not find it sooner!)
This read really puts things into perspective! Teasi dives into the differences between a 'purpose' and a 'calling'. There truly is a significant difference between the two...who knew?! She also helps us to distinguish between our 'primary purpose' and our 'personal purpose'. These are two insights that I had never heard of before, nor thought about. With wise instruction and reference to Scripture, balanced with her whimsical humor and real-life transparency, Teasi Cannon gives us a book that helps us to stop searching desperately for a specific calling, and to instead pour into the opportunities and areas we have the ability to serve in right where we are (with her sweet humor she incorporates vacuums and area rugs as vivid examples--in a very creative and intelligent way, I might add). This book helped me to realize that part of our purpose and servanthood is being lost in the process of constantly searching for a much more rich and beautiful 'calling'. This was a wonderful and inspiring book that I would highly recommend to all!
Such a well written book, in plain English. Everyone who seeks more knowledge about our God and His purpose for you, should have a copy of this!
